By Vivienne Cupcakes arose from a secret passion I have had for many, many years!

Six years ago I made 60 sparkling jewel-like cupcakes for a most stylish friend, who has everything money can buy! She and her friends were blown away. What joy. She loved them, I loved making them and the orders  started coming in!

I thus embarked on a new hobby that ran neatly alongside my regular job teaching at UCT in the Professional Communications Dept in the faculty of Engineering. Both sides of the brain went into overdrive.

My concept is to create something exquisite, ornate and a feast for the eye. My inspiration came from late Baroque/ Rococo era (17th/18th century) Madame de Pompadour, Marie Antoinette, Louis XV and Louis XVI and their dinky home in Versailles. Hence my signature “Baroque” range. I have created a variety of boxes in assorted sizes available in many combinations of dusty pinks, pale blues, cream and gold with pearls and lace, cameos and bows!
